Jennifer Sennhenn-Campbell is the owner and founder of Denver Designer Cakes LLC.  A competing cake designer and sugar artist, she is also a member of  ICES (The International Cake Exploration Societe).  Jennifer grew up in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area with high artistic aspirations from an early age.  Her love of the performing arts, mainly theatre and music would later take her on an unconventional path.  Beginning in grade school, you would always find her performing in the school play or musical and she would later take her love of performing arts into the military and become a lead vocalist in the US Army Band and onto touring the world as a performer in the 2001 US Army Soldier Show.

After her army service she continued performing whenever she could and wanted to expand her love of texture and design.  Jennifer began studying Art History and Interior Design learning about structure, design and artistic incorporation.  She and her husband then moved to Southern Georgia shortly after their own destination wedding in 2005, where she discovered a new passion; Cake Design and Sugar Artistry.

It all started after Jennifer took some cake decorating classes at a local craft store and began making cakes for friends and family in Georgia as an artistic outlet.  However, due to all the referrals she was receiving, her hobby quickly turned into a full-time business.  At that point, she took a few advanced baking classes from a local college learning French style baking and felt she needed more experience on the decorating side, so after a few basic decorating classes, she took the full sugar flower immersion class and advanced fondant coursework at Savannah Custom Cakes.  In 2009 Jennifer and her family made their dream move to Denver and opened Denver Designer Cakes LLC.

Jennifer continues to hone her skills by taking advanced coursework from other master sugar artists and pastry chefs when available.  She and her team also enjoy competing in sugar and cake competitions whenever possible and are grateful to have just won “The 2012 Best Cupcake in Taste & Design for” for their new “Cookies & Cream Milkshake Cupcake” at the Colorado Chocolate Festival.
